The aroma of freshly baked bread filled David’s apartment. He surveyed his handiwork with satisfaction, a warm smile spreading across his face. The dough, proofed to perfection, was ready for the oven. He grabbed a glass of orange juice and sat down, planning to savor the moment of simple pleasure. A quiet evening awaited, possibly with a good book.

The phone rang. It was the hospital. “Mr. Peterson? We require you to come in as soon as possible,” a hurried voice said. "There is a severe issue with your medical profile." The blood drained from his face. The joy of the baking, the anticipation, all evaporated.

The administrator then informed him, "We have reason to believe that your records were swapped with those of another patient. A very serious mistake." The juice tasted suddenly metallic.
